Rigid Copper leads have been widely used and recognized as a lead material where minimum flexibility is required. Their low cost and compatibility with high pressure Oxygen gas has made them an economical choice for a number of applications. Copper has no permeability to small gas molecules such as hydrogen and helium. All end connections are attached by silver brazing.
Rigid Stainless Steel leads provide the maximum strength when flexibility is not important. Their low cost compared to flexible hoses has made them an economical choice for a number of applications. Solid metal has no permeability to small gas molecules such as hydrogen and helium. All connections are either silver brazed or TIG welded, depending on the end connection material.
Rigid Monel-400 leads provide the maximum strength when flexibility is not important and high pressure Oxygen is used. Their low cost compared to flexible hoses has made them an economical choice for a number of applications. Solid metal has no permeability to small gas molecules such as hydrogen and helium. All connections are either silver brazed or TIG welded, depending on the end connection material.
Quality control methods and meticulous attention to detail throughout the manufacturing process ensure that our customers will receive a leak-free lead that will provide years of service. This detail and commitment to the entire process helps make Weldcoa's lead products the very best in the industry.
Weldcoa’s 1/4" 3500 PSIG Rigid Copper Leads are used in many Industrial and Medical gas charging and discharge applications. A typical application is where cylinders are permanently manifolded together such as with cylinder carts and banks, where the leads are disconnected infrequently. Copper is compatible with the most common Industrial, Medical and Specialty gases including Argon, Oxygen, Nitrogen, Helium, Carbon Dioxide and Hydrogen.
SAFETY CAUTION: Copper is not compatible with Acetylene. Rigid Copper leads must periodically be annealed (heated and slow cooled) to relieve the stresses caused by bending and pressure cycling. Consult your company’s policy on annealing of rigid leads.
Weldcoa’s 1/4" 7500 PSIG Rigid 316 Stainless Steel Leads are used in many Industrial and Specialty gas charging and discharge applications. A typical application is where cylinders are permanently manifolded together such as with cylinder carts and banks, where the leads are disconnected infrequently. 316 Stainless Steel is compatible with the most common Industrial and Specialty gases including Argon, Nitrogen, Helium, Carbon Dioxide, Hydrogen and some reactive gases.
SAFETY CAUTION: 316 Stainless Steel is not recommended for use with high pressure Oxygen.
