Ideal System for End-user applications
Weldcoa offers an automated Storage Tube Control Systems for remote unmanned pumping systems, both for critical and non-critical applications.
For critical applications, where down time could cause dramatic consequences and/or production cannot be down for even 1 day, we offer a Tube Control System. This system automatically fills, monitors and regulates high pressure in storage tubes. This is typically used with permanent storage tubes, but has been installed with dedicated trailers.
The system consists of a control cabinet, which will be located inside the facility and a remote control box that will mounted outside by the pump. Optional VFD’s (Variable Frequency Drive) to control the flow of the pump are available as an add-on with this system. System start and stop pressures are controlled with pressure transmitter that can be adjusted locally on the operator interface.

- Can be used on single or multi-=pump systems
- Has remote monitoring capabilities which includes:
- Pre-programmed e-mail alerts to notify client and Weldcoa if specific performance or safety parameters are not being met.
- This type of notification allows the concern to be addressed immediately before further damage is done and/or product is lost.
- Alarms are self-explanatory
- Provides the ability to remotely adjust the parameters as needed, including pressure range. As well as the ability to switch to another pump if desired
- If the pump cavitates and/or there is a shaft seal leak, the system would stop the pump
- Automatically switches usage between primary pump and secondary pump at a set ratio to confirm function and distribute wear; varying the run time ratio to ensure both pumps don’t wear out at the same time.
- If VFD is selected, the system can be designed to automatically reverses rotation of pump motors to ensure longer life of pump drive end internal parts
- Automatically cools down the pump, including the:
- Liquid supply valve
- Vapor return valve
- Sump drain valve
- Unloader
- Contains (4) RTD thermocouples, one each for the:
- Liquid supply valve
- Pump discharge
- Shaft seal
- Vaporizer discharge
- Contains Pressure switches for:
- Start
- Stop
- High Pressure Safety Alarm
For non-critical applications, we offer a Tube Fill System. This economical version is provided with all essential control features. The system still protects the pump and monitors all critical operating parameters. This consists of a remote control box mounted outside by the pump. Capabilities with this system are limited in regards that there is no remote monitoring or email alerts provided. System start and stop pressures are controlled with reliable pressure switches that can be adjusted manually.
